Utilization and Revitalization of Closed School Facilities
In Japan, approximately 450 schools are closed each year. We are committed to revitalizing these cherished community landmarks and transforming them into meaningful spaces for the future.。
Support for the Operation of Japanese Language Schools
All Japanese language schools that accept international students are now required to obtain certification from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). Our organization actively provides guidance and support to schools seeking this certification.
International Exchange and Cultural Interaction
More than ever, visitors from abroad are seeking cultural experiences that are deeply rooted in local communities. Our organization is dedicated to ongoing initiatives that promote understanding of regional culture.。
Initiatives for Simplified Japanese Language Communication
This project offers well-known works of literature rewritten in “Yasashii Nihongo” (Easy Japanese). Enjoy classic stories adapted into everyday, practical Japanese. Each piece also includes an English translation written at a junior high school level for easier understanding.
Message from the Chairperson
The Meaning Behind Our Name – Culture Crossing Campus
The name Culture Crossing Campus (文化交苑) represents a place—a “garden”—where different kinds of culture and identity meet, interact, and grow together. Here, “culture” doesn’t just mean the difference between Japan and other countries. Even within Japan, each region has its own unique cultural heritage.
We believe that by respecting and learning about other cultures, we can rediscover the beauty of our own—something that may have been forgotten in daily life.
At Culture Crossing Campus, our mission is to support people from diverse cultural backgrounds in coming together, connecting, and taking the next step forward—side by side.
We are continuously exploring how we can:
- Help revitalize local communities,
- Support international visitors who are curious about Japan,
- And protect traditional cultures that are fading away.
Through these efforts, we hope to create meaningful bridges between people, regions, and generations.
